Apologetics and Philosophy Seminar
Can God's existence be proven? Do faith and reason conflict? How can a good God allow evil?
Menlough's Apologetics and Philosophy Seminar meets from 2-4 pm one Sunday each month. Participants play sports in the first hour and discuss fundamental questions about faith and life in the second hour.
Applicants should have a keen interest in philosophy and the Catholic faith, as well as a commitment to developing intellectual honesty, humility, charity and rational rigor. The seminar is open to high school-aged boys.
Participants' interests help drive the topics and readings. Reading selections are drawn from sources such as the Handbook of Christian Apologetics by Peter Kreeft and Fr. Ronald Tacelli and Theology and Sanity by Frank Sheed, among others.
The dates for 2026 are:
February 1st
March 1st
April 12th
May 3rd
